The design and materials used in the absober have a significant impact on the panels performance. The flat plate collector uses very high quality copper elements, and the block chrome surface permits absorbtion of the suns rays even in overcast weather. The thermal glass with low iron content is sealed by using heat-resistant rubber seals. The panel is thoroughly insulated by using fiberglass to limit heat loss, and the frame is made from anodized aluminum. With aluminum sheet on the rear side, the total design is extremely resistant to atmospheric impacts and temperature oscillations. The solar panels are highly reliable with a long life expectancy.
